Let’s celebrate the month of May (and mother’s day coming up!) with a textured rose painting. Students will learn to paint roses using bold, bright, and chunky brush strokes to show texture and emphasize color. You can gift this painting to someone special in honor of Mother’s Day, or, keep it to enjoy for yourself!
We will be using pictures of roses that grow at Old City Cemetery as the reference for our rose painting. The varieties we paint should also be available to purchase at the Old City Cemetery Rose sale. After your painting class, you can head on over to the rose sale and see if you can find “your rose”
